Facebook to buy Instagram for $1 billion

$1 Billion for a company with essentially no revenue? The company's barely 2 years old and the CEO could get $400 million from the deal ... not a bad ROI.

smart move. Instagram was turning into it's own social media site that could compete on some levels with Facebook. Also its picture posting/editing was so slick that it will be a good addition for FB versus them creating their own.

Smart move and a good one for FB IMHO

I'm not a fan of Instagram. I have to agree with everyone else. Why do I want to take a 8MP 975x1630 image and have them chop it to a grainy 2001 digital camera image.. I downloaded the app and tried it for a week or so, but it has since been removed from my Inc2.

I do however think that Zuckergerg only purchased it to kill any competition.
