Sapthami Gowda was born on 8 June 1996 in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Her father, Umesh Sk Doddi, is a police officer who was awarded President Police Medal For Meritorious Service in 2015. Her mother, Shantha Madaiah, is a homemaker. She has a younger sister, Uthare Gowda, who is a professional swimmer.
Sapthami did her schooling at Baldwin Girls’ High School and Sri Kumaran Children’s Home Composite Junior College in Bengaluru. She then pursued a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Bangalore Institute of Technology.
